v1.7 Release Notes - May 16th, 2023

New Features and Updates for the Altruist Manager and website.

Altruist Manager

  • Altruist admin users will now be able to specify their preferred contact method in their user profile screen

  • Altruist Manager will now remember which Landing Page an admin user was on during their previous session and will automatically pick that Landing Page on their next session

  • Added a ‘Messages’ tab within a Volunteer’s dialog that displays the most recent communications sent to the Volunteer from the organization

  • Added a new field for Events, ‘Volunteer Instructions Field’. This text field is optional and if populated will be sent in approval emails that are sent to volunteers

  • Admin users can now add volunteers to a past Shift

  • Admin users can now duplicate an event by clicking on the ‘ ⡆’ for the specific event
Note: The event name will take the form of “Copy of...”

Items to be copied over:

  • The Event Description
  • The Internal Description 
  • The Event Time Zone 
  • The Volunteer Limit 
  • The Event Coordinator(s) 
  • The Waiver Required Toggle (Including the URL within it)

Altruist Public Website

  • We have updated how Shift information is displayed throughout Altruist. Shifts will now also show the Landing Page name and Event name (alongside location address, date, and time)

  • Altruist volunteers will now be able to specify their preferred contact method in their user profile screen

Emails

  • Shift approval emails will now also show ‘Volunteer Instructions Field’ (if populated)

  • Shift approval emails will also have an ICS calendar invite added to them. Volunteers can use this to add their Shift to their personal calendar

  • When a volunteer is assigned to a Shift and they receive the ‘Assigned Shift’ email, they will now see a list of Event Coordinators to contact if they have any questions
